Description
Bust-length oil on canvas portrait of a man in a white linen cap with a red and gilt band, graying curls, and a fur-collared mantle, after Rembrandt van Rijn's late self-portraits of circa 1660–1669. Worked in a warm, earth-toned palette and set in an ornate giltwood and composition frame with foliate and shell-form corner cartouches.
