Description
Bohemian-style cut-to-clear lead crystal ashtray with a ruby-flashed central medallion. The heavy clear body is hand-cut in a cross-hatched diamond pattern with a vertically ribbed, scalloped rim incorporating three cigarette rests. The recessed center bears a ruby flash overlay engraved through to clear glass, depicting a standing long-crested wading bird among reeds beside a scrolled basket cartouche.
