Description
Pair of cut crystal and gilt bronze (ormolu) candlesticks of columnar form in the French Empire/Restauration taste, 19th century. Each has a flared socket with cast laurel and beaded borders above a cylindrical crystal column cut in an allover hobnail and diamond pattern, rising from a gadrooned cast calyx and a matching domed crystal base, all on three lion paw feet over a pierced openwork underplate.
