Description
Late Victorian/Edwardian English folding combination games board-box configured for chess or draughts, backgammon, and cribbage. The hardwood case is decorated in marquetry of contrasting light and dark woods, the exterior presenting an eight-by-eight checkerboard within a cribbage-track border, and opening on brass butt hinges to an inlaid backgammon interior centered by a pair of six-point star medallions.
