Description
Four lidded trinket and pill boxes: one Toledo damascene box with matching underplate and three porcelain boxes. The damascene box is worked in gold-inlaid scrolling foliage and a long-tailed bird on a blackened steel ground, with a brass hang tag marked "ANTONIO GARCIA ESCOBAR" and a paper tag reading "TOLEDO (Spain)" and "DAMASQUINADA." The porcelain boxes are an oval "Forget Me Not" example, a footed "Mother" box, and a small square famille rose box with a figure on horseback.
