Description
Original expressionist oil on stretched canvas depicting a single long-necked bird worked in a loose, gestural manner with heavy impasto. The bird is rendered in browns, pink, and black against a mottled ground of green, red, purple, and yellow applied in broad palette strokes. The verso is titled "The Bird" in pencil.
