Description
Hand-hammered copper repoussé wall plaque depicting the coat of arms of Friedberg, Hesse, Germany, a former Free Imperial City. The design shows a raised double-headed eagle on a central shield within an embossed battlemented town wall and gateway, with "Friedberg" in raised blackletter; the cardboard reverse is ink-stamped "handgetrieben."
