Description
Set of twelve porcelain cabinet plates, each with an apple-green border elaborately worked in gilt filigree swags, scrolls, and lattice banding beneath a burnished gold rim (twelve per consignor count; photographs show one plate displayed with the remainder stacked, consistent with twelve). The white well carries a transfer-printed, hand-tinted scene of 18th-century figures courting and dancing before a garden balustrade. Undersides bear a green leaf-form underglaze mark and a gilt stamp reading "LIMOGE DECORATION"; this misspelled, generic decorator-style stamp does not match any documented Limoges factory mark, so the set is best described as continental-style porcelain of unattributed origin. Good condition overall, with light rubbing to the gilt at the rim edges and minor scattered surface wear; no chips or cracks were observed in the photographs. Diameter approximately 11 in.
