Description
Old World Tuscan-style decorative wall panel centering an openwork wrought-iron grille of C- and S-scrolls with curled tips, acanthus-leaf sprays, and fleur-de-lis finials around an oval foliate medallion, the scrollwork in a rubbed bronze-and-rust patina with coppery highlights. Although grained to read as wood, the molded frame is also metal — a hollow rolled-profile molding finished in faux woodgrain bronze on the front and painted black on the reverse, with wire hanging loops welded directly to the back. The reverse bears a generic hanging-instruction label and an import sticker reading '11823 MADE IN CHINA'; a contemporary decorative import with no maker indicated. Good condition: the front presents well with light edge rubbing, while the back top molding shows scattered paint chips, plus light household dust. Measures approximately 44 in wide x 50 in high.
