Description
Sterling silver cream and sugar set by the International Silver Co. of Meriden, Connecticut, comprising a baluster-form creamer with shaped pour spout and scroll handle and a bulbous two-handled open sugar, each with an applied scalloped rim on a stepped round foot. The underside of each piece is stamped "INTERNATIONAL / STERLING / C 42" with the company trademark, C42 being the factory holloware shape number. Both interiors retain a bright gilt wash, and neither piece is monogrammed. Good condition with light overall scratches and dull tarnish haze from normal use and polishing, plus adhesive residue on the base of the sugar; no dents, splits, or repairs noted. The creamer stands approx. 3.5 in. high and the sugar approx. 2.5 in. high; combined weight 202 grams (101 grams each).
