Description
Rectangular hinged box with brass-clad exterior over a wood-lined interior. The lid centers on a carved pale jade roundel with avian motif, flanked by four smaller cast seal-form medallions and butterfly-decorated corner mounts; the sides bear embossed dragon-and-pearl panels set against an incised floral ground. Fitted with a traditional Chinese swing-bar latch and a separate shaped key. Item Specifics Region of Origin China Condition The top piece is detaching, as shown in the photographs.
