Description
Stoneware lidded beer stein with cobalt ground and relief-molded hunting scenes, fitted with a pewter lid topped by a conical finial and a tree-branch handle. Panels depict a hunter with game, a retriever, edelweiss, and a bird in flight, inscribed "Im Wald und auf der Haide" and "Da such ich meine Freude" — lyrics from the 19th-century German hunting song by Wilhelm Bornemann. Impressed "West Germany" on the underside.
