Description
Oval transferware platter in the "The Hunter" pattern by Franciscan, printed in blue and white with an English countryside scene of a hunter and dog, a woman and child before a half-timbered inn marked "The Swan," and a church spire in the distance, framed by a scalloped, floral-bordered rim. Underside marked "The Hunter By Franciscan, Made in Staffordshire England, A Hand Engraved Pattern, Permanent Underglaze Colours Acid and Detergent Proof."
