Description
Wall clock set within a Rococo-style carved giltwood surround of acanthus scrolls, foliate sprays, and a shell crest above a circular silvered and brushed-brass dial with Roman numerals. Dial marked "Welby" and "8 DAY"; reverse of the movement stamped "Made in Germany". Welby was a clock line of the Elgin National Watch Company, fitted with German movements during the mid-20th century.
