Description
Two porcelain cabinet plates, one hand-painted with a lily of the valley spray on a softly washed ground, the other transfer-printed with a still life of plums, currants and berries; both rimmed in gilt. The floral plate carries a green "Hand Painted Nippon" maple-leaf-in-wreath backstamp, while the fruit plate is marked "PMR Bavaria Jaeger & Co Germany" above a "Golden Crown E&R 1886" shield.
