Description

Footed porcelain comport by Spode in the chinoiserie taste, the central reserve painted with two exotic birds among peony and chrysanthemum on a finely stippled blue ground, surrounded by oval floral cartouches and flanked by gilt scallop-shell handles. Underside marked 'SPODE / COPELAND'S CHINA / ENGLAND' in green with a hand-painted red pattern number 'R4017'. Made in England.
