Description
Mid-19th century thermoplastic Union case of double form. The lid is moulded in relief with three children at play—one with a fishing rod, one with a doll, and one with a hobby horse—within a Rococo scrollwork border. The interior is fitted with an embossed burgundy velvet pad opposite two oval gilt-brass mats holding cased portraits of a gentleman and a lady with hand-tinted floral accents.
