Description
Large batik wall hanging on cotton depicting a herd of four elephants walking through tropical foliage. The elephants are rendered in black wax-resist dye with white stippled detailing and fine gold linework, set against a cream ground with characteristic batik crackle and surrounded by green and yellow-veined leaves. Stretched on a wooden strainer frame and signed at lower right.
