Description
A Southwestern-style ceramic wedding vase with a double-spouted form, arched bridge handle, and speckled cream finish. The body is mounted with an applied medallion of leather, feathers, and a turquoise-colored stone, finished with a leather thong and bead accent. It is from the Kelly Collection by Earthtones, a line of contemporary Southwestern pottery produced by Earthtones (now Earthtones Tile), a studio founded in Tucson, Arizona, in 1983. These pieces are modern reproductions inspired by traditional Native American themes and designs. It features a speckled "mocha" or sandstone finish on handcrafted ceramic. While these vases are crafted in the "Navajo tribe tradition," they are considered a modern "Visions Connection" interpretation of traditional arts rather than antique tribal artifacts. Underside bears a 'Kelly Collection by Earthtones™' label. 11"H Good condition.
