Description
A pair of metal bird garden stakes, specifically designed to resemble quails. They are popular pieces of "yard art" used to decorate flower beds, planters, or walkways. The bird on the left is a rustic silhouette of a quail, likely a California or Gambel's quail, characterized by its distinctive head plume. It is made from weathered steel or iron. The surface is pre-treated to create an authentic rusted patina that continues to age over time. The bird on the right also features a quail-like crest but has a vibrant, multicolored finish. This style is commonly crafted from copper. The iridescent colors are created through a process called torch-firing or "flaming," where heat is applied to the copper to produce a natural rainbow effect. 15"L Good condition.
