Description
1983 limited edition porcelain figurine of a maiden in a long white dress with pale blue trim, holding a bouquet of pink carnations with a flower-filled basket at her feet. Underside marked 'Cecilia / THE CARNATION MAIDEN / LIMITED EDITION · FINE PORCELAIN / ©1983 FP' with a 'HAND MADE IN SPAIN' foil label; base signed 'Fulgencio.' Sculpted by Lladró artist Fulgencio García for the Franklin Mint (marked as "FP") in 1983. This limited-edition piece was designed for the Franklin Mint by Fulgencio García, a renowned artist who was one of the earliest and most celebrated sculptors for the prestigious Spanish porcelain company Lladró. Because of this connection, the figurine features a signature elongated style and a soft pastel palette typical of classic Lladró work. It was hand-made in Spain. Approximately 9.5 inches tall. Good condition.
