Description
A framed limited-edition offset lithograph of "Foothill Hometown Morning" by Thomas Kinkade, signed in plate and hand-numbered 2549/2950 with accompanying Certificate of Authenticity from the Thomas Kinkade Gallery in Placerville, California. "Foothill Hometown Morning" is one of Thomas Kinkade's regional "Foothill" series lithographs, a Placerville-edition limited edition framed print. The print type is offset lithograph and the image size is approximately 16 x 20 inches, depicting a nostalgic small-town street scene at dawn with a white-steepled church, stone cottage, vintage automobiles, strolling figures, and a bicyclist — hallmark motifs of Kinkade's "Painter of Light" Americana work. This example is hand-numbered 2549 from an edition of 2950 in pencil at the lower-left margin, bears Kinkade's printed signature at the lower-left image, and carries the embossed silver "Thomas Kinkade Painter of Light" authenticity seal on the print itself. The accompanying Certificate of Authenticity confirms the title, artist, and print number, and notes that the print was released in Thomas's hometown of Placerville for a charity event, then later nationwide under a similar name. The lithograph is double-matted in forest green with gold fillets, glazed, and presented in a mahogany-finished stepped wood frame with an engraved brass title plaque reading "Foothill Hometown Morning / Thomas Kinkade." A Thomas Kinkade Gallery of Placerville, CA label is affixed to the paper dust cover on the verso, and the original COA is retained in a kraft pocket on the backing. 27.5"H x 31"L Good condition.
