Description

A framed Thomas Kinkade limited-edition lithograph titled 'Foothill Forest Chapel,' the Placerville regional variant of 'Chapels of Nature II.' Hand-numbered 2096/2950 with Certificate of Authenticity affixed to the backing. Offset lithograph after the original painting by American artist Thomas Kinkade (1958–2012), self-styled 'Painter of Light.' The image depicts a steepled white chapel in an autumn forest clearing beside a rocky stream, a characteristic Kinkade landscape. This is the regional 'Foothill' edition, a Placerville-area variant subtitled 'Chapels of Nature II' with the title and series line printed below the image and the artist's signature in the lower-left of the plate. Per the affixed Certificate of Authenticity, the print is hand-numbered 2096 of 2950 and bears Thomas Kinkade's authorized signature; the COA notes the print was offered for sale in the Placerville area only and was published for national distribution at a different size and under a different title. Triple-matted in navy with gold-foil fillets, the piece is presented in a mahogany-tone wood molding with gilt inner lip and includes an engraved brass title plate reading 'Foothill Forest Chapel / Thomas Kinkade.' The backing carries a 'Thomas Kinkade Authorized Frame' seal from Wholesale Art & Framing of Placerville, California, and the COA and a black-and-white reference image are sealed in a clear sleeve on the dust cover. 27.5"H x 31"L Good condition.
