Description
A framed and double-matted Thomas Kinkade limited edition lithograph titled "McKenna's Cottage," numbered 265 of 980 and accompanied by a Lightpost Publishing Certificate of Limitation & Authenticity. The image depicts a thatched-roof English stone cottage at twilight in Kinkade's signature "Painter of Light" style. "McKenna's Cottage" is a 1990 work by American artist Thomas Kinkade (1958–2012), known as the "Painter of Light." The image portrays a classic English countryside scene — a stone cottage with thatched roof, multiple brick chimneys, glowing windows, a dry-stone garden wall, and a winding lane flanked by wildflowers. The plate-signed image carries Kinkade's signature, the 1990 copyright date, an ichthys (fish) symbol, and the scriptural reference "John 3:16" in the lower right. The accompanying Lightpost Publishing Certificate of Limitation & Authenticity confirms this is print number 265 of 980 impressions on 100% rag archival paper, with the edition also including 200 artist's proofs, 200 retouched R/P proofs, 100 publisher's proofs, and designated A/P and R/P impressions on the artist's canvas. The piece is presented in a polished cherry-toned wood molding with a blue/teal suede-look mat, gold-trim inner fillet, and an engraved brass title plaque reading "McKenna's Cottage by Thomas Kinkade 265/980." Originally published by Lightpost Publishing (Kinkade's self-founded publisher); the edition has long been sold out at the studio. 24.5"H x 28.5"L Good condition.
