Description
A rectangular wall mirror set in a wide wooden frame with applied composition ornament in a silver-leaf finish. The glass is beveled and the frame back shows standard wire-hanger hardware. A decorative wall mirror in the traditional style, built on a softwood frame with molded and applied composition (gesso/compo) ornament. The face carries two bands of relief decoration — an inner scrolling ribbon-and-leaf motif framing the glass and an outer acanthus/palmette band along the top edge — finished in a silver/champagne leaf over a warmer undertone that shows through where highlights have been rubbed. The mirror plate is beveled. 26"H x 30"L Good condition.
