Description
A framed color reproduction print after Georgia O'Keeffe's abstract painting 'Grey Line with Black, Blue and Yellow' (c. 1923), presented behind glass in a red burl-veneer wood frame with white mat. Backing paper is inscribed 'Santa Fe April 1998' and bears an Aaron Brothers Custom Framing label. The image reproduces one of Georgia O'Keeffe's signature early abstractions, in which soft pink and white curvilinear forms flank a central vertical cleft of deep blue shading to near-black, with fine pink lines running down the interior. O'Keeffe painted the original around 1923 during her early exploration of abstraction, and the composition is often discussed alongside her other abstract works of the period such as 'Blue and Green Music.' This example is a printed reproduction (not an original painting), float-mounted on a board with a white mat and protected by glazing. 22"H x 18"L Good condition.
