Description
A pair of decorative framed prints by American artist Pamela Gladding, each depicting a Tuscan-style urn overflowing with flowers against a warm terra-cotta background. Presented in matching ornate gilt frames with rope-twist edges and distressed green-and-gold inner panels. Both prints are signed in the plate "Pamela Gladding" at lower left, visible. Gladding's art is known for bursting with color and floral patterns, decorative motifs, and still life scenes, with a traditional style informed by commercial techniques she learned while painting harpsichords for manufacturers in the U.S. and Europe. The artist works from a studio in the hills of east central Pennsylvania, where her extensive floral gardens and the animals, birds and insects accompanying them provide seasonal references for her drawings and paintings. 40"H x 22"L Good condition.
