Description

Vintage Pioneer SX-3600 silver-face AM/FM stereo receiver with wood-grain cabinet, analog tuning dial, and blue Fluoroscan power-output display. A 30-watt-per-channel mid-line receiver from Pioneer's early-1980s 'Smart Styling' era. The Pioneer SX-3600 is an AM/FM stereo receiver produced by Pioneer Corporation in 1980–1981. It is rated at 30 watts per channel with less than 0.05% total harmonic distortion and a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz. The SX-3600 features Pioneer's distinctive 'Fluroscan' power output meter — a blue bar-graph display with 12 separate light segments per channel — that shows precisely how much amplifier power is being delivered to the speakers. The receiver comes with a walnut-like metal top and walnut-grained vinyl side panels, a wide tilted-back analog tuning dial for FM and AM, and a large smooth tuning knob. The back panel has inputs for Phono and Aux as well as for two tape decks, output terminals for two sets of speakers, and two AC outlets (one switched and one not). 6"H x 11"W x 18"L Good condition.
