Description
An antique French Louis XV style gilt bronze vanity mirror featuring integrated candle holders. Known as a "girandole" or "mirrored sconce," these items were popularized in the 18th and 19th centuries as decorative yet functional objects that amplified candlelight through their mirrored surfaces. It embodies the Rococo (Neo-Rococo) style, characterized by elaborate asymmetrical scrolls, acanthus leaves, and floral motifs. While many are French in origin (circa 1870–1880), similar high-quality ornate brass mirrors were also attributed to American manufacturers like Bradley & Hubbard in the late 19th century. 20.5"H x 13"W x 7"L Good condition.
