Description
A pair of vintage Italian Florentine giltwood trays. These ornate pieces are typically handmade in Italy, featuring traditional Medieval and Renaissance-style decoration techniques that include hand-painted motifs and gold leaf gilding over wood or wood composite. These trays are frequently associated with the Hollywood Regency and Rococo styles. Crafted from wood (often Italian poplar) with hand-applied gold gilt and protective clear glazes. Some vintage examples may use molded decorative materials designed to resemble carved wood. They include integrated side handles and scalloped edges with intricate raised scrollwork and floral medallion centers. Vintage pieces date from the mid-20th century, specifically the 1960s and 1970s. 11"W Please note: scratches present at undersides-see photos.
