Description
A vintage restaurant bowl (also known as hotel china) manufactured by Wallace China in Los Angeles, California. The company, which operated from 1931 until 1964, was renowned for producing exceptionally durable, heavy-duty "vitrified" china designed to withstand the rigors of commercial use in diners, hotels, and restaurants. Vitrified ceramic or "ironstone," characterized by its heavy weight and high resistance to chips and cracks. The cream-colored body with simple black pinstripes is a classic example of their more minimalist, utilitarian lines, often used in professional kitchens. Features a printed "Wallace China" backstamp on the underside. 3.5"H x 10"W Good condition.
