Description
An Art Nouveau-style table lamp that appears to be a reproduction of a classic early 20th-century design. It features a sculptural base depicting figures—often interpreted as a couple—entwined around a tree trunk, with a frosted glass globe shade at the top. The design is highly consistent with the works of Alice Nordin, specifically her "Night and Morning" patinated bronze table lamp created for Herman Bergman in Stockholm in the early 1900s. Similar designs are also attributed to Oliver Tupton. While original antique versions were typically cast in patinated bronze, modern reproductions and similar vintage pieces are often made from designer resin finished in faux ivory, gold, or bronze tones. The lamp is topped with a white frosted or swirled glass globe. Modern versions generally take a standard 25-watt to 40-watt bulb or LED equivalent. It is characterized by the Art Nouveau or Art Deco aesthetic, emphasizing flowing, organic lines and graceful human forms. 23"H Good condition.
