Description
This cabinet is a Mid-Century Modern German "shrunk" cabinet, also known as a Wohnzimmerschrank or a two-piece hutch. These cabinets were popular in Germany during the 1950s and 1960s, often described with "atomic" or "space-age" aesthetic. It features a distinct two-piece construction with a top display cabinet section sitting on a lower credenza or buffet base. The design is characteristic of the Mid-Century Modern era, with clean lines and a mix of different wood veneers like zebra wood and figured maple.
