Description
A vintage folding wooden luggage rack, which is a functional piece of guest room furniture popular in the mid-20th century. Based on its design, this particular piece is highly consistent with products made by Scheibe, a well-known American manufacturer of quality wooden accessories since 1914. Crafted from solid wood (such as walnut or mahogany) with decorative floral tapestry or needlepoint straps. It features a folding X-frame base for easy storage, characteristic of Mid-Century Modern utility furniture. These racks were common in upscale hotels and guest bedrooms to provide a convenient, elevated surface for suitcases, preventing them from being placed directly on beds or floors. 20"H x 13.5"W x 23"L Good condition.
