Description
A Mid-Century Modern ruby red glass vase or decanter, characterized by its tall, slender neck and flared "jack-in-the-pulpit" style ruffled rim. Objects with this specific silhouette and vibrant "ruby" or "cranberry" hue are common in several glassmaking traditions from the mid-20th century. Similar ruffled-rim vases in ruby red were produced by artists like Jan Gabrhel for the Chlum u Trebone glassworks in the former Czechoslovakia, and Italian makers in the 1970s frequently produced "smoked" ruby red blown glass bottles and vases with elegant, elongated forms. 12"H x 2.5"W Good condition.
