Description
An Art Deco-style ceramic tea set from the brand Past Times, inspired by the iconic "Bizarre" pottery of Clarice Cliff. This specific design, often referred to as the "Tower" or "Cottage" pattern, depicts a hand-painted scene of stylized houses with red roofs nestled in a landscape of rolling hills and tall, slender trees. The set includes a circular, disc-shaped teapot with a bright red handle and matching spherical lid knob, a sugar bowl and creamer echoing the same circular silhouette and landscape motif, and a rectangular ceramic stand/plate designed to hold the set. While Past Times produced these as modern homeware replicas, they closely mimic the bold, geometric shapes and vibrant "Applique" or "Fantasque" styles popularized by Clarice Cliff in the 1920s and 30s. 7.5"H x 3.25"W x 9"L (Measurements are based on teapot) Good condition.
