Description
A 20th-century cast bronze statue depicting the historical Chinese general Guan Yu, often revered as a deity of war, loyalty, and wealth. It features a greenish patina typical of aged bronze, depicting Guan Yu holding his signature weapon, the guandao (a long-handled blade). The statue typically stands on a bespoke wooden stand, elevating the figure for display. Statues of this type are popular among collectors of Chinese art and history enthusiasts. These figures are often placed in homes or businesses as Fengshui decorations believed to attract fortune and protection. 12"H Good condition.
