Description
A wall-mounted mixed-media relief artwork that mimics organic biological forms. The silhouette is shield-like or teardrop-shaped, tapering toward the bottom. It features a central recessed "core" or pod surrounded by concentric, symmetrical layers of texture. The surface is intricately worked with various tactile patterns of deeply carved, vertical striations with a metallic, rusted copper or burgundy finish. A turquoise or oxidized green section with a "scaly" or stippled texture, resembling reptilian skin or biological membranes. A light-colored, recessed area with smooth, raised "droplet" or cell-like shapes. Signed at back with wire for hanging. 21"W x 25"L Good condition.
