Description
A three-piece console set of early 20th-century Art Deco glassware. These sets, typically featuring a pedestal compote bowl and two matching candlesticks, were produced in the 1920s and are frequently referred to as the "Black Rim Orange" or "Marguerite" line. The set is made of glass, likely flashed with a matte or luster orange finish. It features a striking high-contrast color scheme of bright orange with black rims. Also includes gilded details along the black borders. While many of these sets are attributed to the Lancaster Glass Company of Ohio, similar styles were also produced by Czech glass makers (often called "Tango Glass") during the same Art Deco period. Because much of this glassware was unmarked, collectors often use these distinctive color patterns to identify the era and manufacturer. 9"H Please note: wax residue present-please see photo.
