Description
A watercolor-style ceramic glazed tile of the Golden Gate Bridge. The piece has the soft, translucent quality typical of watercolor paintings, which is a common medium for such souvenir and decorative art featuring the Golden Gate Bridge. Similar decorative tiles are often made by applying a painting to ceramic or vitreous glass using specialized glazes and then kiln-firing them for durability. The painting depicts a scenic view of the Golden Gate Bridge from a coastal perspective, featuring a seal perched on a rocky shore and birds in flight. The artwork includes a signature at the bottom right that reads "J. Jordan '55." 6"W x 6"L Good condition.
