Description
A Royal Copley ceramic vase, in the "Trailing Leaf & Vine" pattern (also sometimes called "Harmony Leaf"). Royal Copley Pottery was produced by the Spaulding China Company in Sebring, Ohio. These pieces were manufactured between 1941 and 1957. This specific vase features a matte airbrushed glaze in a signature pink and grey/blue gradient, which was highly popular for mid-century pastel decor. While many pieces were not stamped, they are easily recognized by their distinctive airbrushing and the presence of parallel "runners" or ridges on the bottom, which were used to fire the pieces in the kiln. It is a highly collectible American art pottery, known for its vibrant 1940s-50s mid-century style. The pottery featured colorful planters, vases, bird figurines, and anthropomorphic animal items sold affordably at retailers like Woolworths. 8"H x 3"W x 4.5"L Good condition.
