Description
A rare vintage early Roseville Pottery Dahlrose double-handle vase. The Dahlrose line was introduced in 1924 and continued production through 1928. It features a band of yellow, daisy-like flowers (dahlias) in low relief around the upper portion. The vase has a characteristic matte finish with a pebbled, cocoa brown (russet) body and green accents on the rim and handles. This pattern belongs to Roseville's transitional "early period," bridging their earlier matte wares with the more famous floral lines. Early pieces from this line were often unmarked or featured a black paper label or an orange crayon mark. 9"H x 4.5"W x 7"L Good condition.
