Description
A vintage or Victorian-style glass kerosene oil lamp that has been converted for electric use. The lamp features a clear glass pedestal base and a decorative font (the reservoir part), often referred to as Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG). Specifically, the Greek key or geometric pattern seen on the reservoir is characteristic of many late 19th and early 20th-century glass manufacturers. It has a traditional burner assembly with a thumbwheel to adjust the wick and is topped with a frosted glass hurricane chimney. This particular piece has been electrified for modern use, a common practice for antique oil lamps to make them functional as bedside or table lamps. 21"H x 7"W Good condition.
