Description
A vintage porcelain serving or dresser tray by Noritake, part of the Favorita collection (Patent 78057), which is a classic example of early 20th-century Noritake design. Characterized by a blue border, ornate floral urns, and a scalloped inner well on an ivory-toned rim. This pattern was discontinued but was produced starting around 1921. Some specific pieces from this line have been dated to 1933. The Noritake mark at underside shows an "M" in a wreath, which dates the tray between 1911–1941. The "M" stands for the Morimura brothers and was the primary mark used until WWII. Noritake is a world-renowned Japanese ceramics company established in 1904 by the Morimura brothers in Nagoya. The brand is famous for blending traditional Japanese craftsmanship with Western aesthetics, specifically creating fine porcelain and bone china for export markets. 10.75"W x 3"L Good condition.
