A vintage wood bead fetish necklace and earring set, featuring hand-carved animal figures. In Native American traditions, particularly from the Zuni and Kewa (Santo Domingo) Pueblos, these carved figures are known as "fetishes" and represent spirits that provide protection and guidance While traditional fetish necklaces are often made from stones like turquoise or shell, this necklace is a folk-style or tribal-inspired variation made primarily of wood. The necklace features multiple hand-carved wooden whales, interspersed with round and disc-shaped wooden beads. The dangle earrings are hand-carved wooden porpoises.
