Description
A traditional Chinese silk figurine representing a Qing Dynasty princess or noble lady. These dolls are typically handcrafted as collectible ornaments and are characterized by their elaborate traditional costumes and headdresses. The figure is dressed in a traditional silk or brocade Manchu-style robe, common to the Qing Dynasty. She wears a distinctive "Dalaichi" (wing-like) headdress adorned with a large central flower and hanging tassels, and is holding a traditional hand fan. These dolls are often made using a combination of silk for the clothing, gypsum or porcelain for the face, and resin or plastic for other parts. Height 10” Good condition.
