Description
An American Brilliant Period (ABP) cut glass bowl, dating from approximately 1876 to 1917. This era is celebrated for its heavy, high-quality leaded crystal and intricate, deep-relief hand-cut patterns. It features characteristic ABP motifs, including pinwheels, starbursts, and geometric diamond patterns. The bowl has a scalloped edge with a sharp sawtooth finish, which is a hallmark of this period. Authentic pieces from this period are made of heavy lead crystal, often producing a "bell-like ring" when gently tapped. 8 inches in diameter by 2 inches Good condition.
