Description
Collection of thirteen vintage Nancy Ann Storybook Dolls of assorted nursery rhyme and storybook characters, including "Rain, Rain Go Away" (#170) with original gold foil wrist tag. Bisque and hard plastic bodies with painted features, mohair wigs, and hand-sewn fabric costumes, produced in San Francisco, c.1941–1950. Earlier versions are typically made of ceramic bisque with painted faces, while later versions produced in the 1950s transitioned to hard plastic and often featured "sleepy" eyes. Please note: Because these are vintage items, some may contain lead or cadmium in their painted finishes, so they are not recommended for play by young children. Good overall condition with age-typical wear including dusty and wrinkled clothing, matted hair, and minor paint loss on select faces.
