Description
A vintage Egyptian Revival style necklace featuring light blue scarab beetle pendants and spacers, likely crafted from faience, soapstone, or ceramic. The necklace consists of a large central scarab pendant surrounded by smaller scarab-shaped beads separated by tiny round spacers. Scarab beetles were amulets in ancient Egypt symbolizing rebirth and transformation. While often resembling ancient Egyptian faience (a glazed ceramic), vintage versions from the 20th century were frequently made from carved and dyed soapstone. Length 15” Good condition.
