Description
This vintage 1987 M.J. Hummel Annual Plate, titled “Feeding Time,” is the seventeenth issue in the long-running annual collector series produced by W. Goebel Porzellanfabrik and based on the beloved artwork of Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel, featuring a finely hand-painted bas-relief farm scene of a young girl wearing a blue headscarf, blue-and-white checkered apron, and red skirt as she feeds grain to a rooster and hen, all set within a cream-colored porcelain field bordered by a ring of incised stars and the year “1987” displayed in red at the bottom; the reverse bears the Goebel trademark, M.I. Hummel signature, and model number HUM 283, and the plate measures approximately 7½ inches in diameter and remains in good overall condition with light age-appropriate wear.
